GLOBAL MANAGING PARTNER
Andy has over 20 years’ experience working in the driver and fleet safety industry. Andy has an established track record for strategic planning, global project implementation, and the development of bespoke risk management solutions.
Andy has successfully implemented targeted solutions across a wide range of industries including numerous blue-chip companies. These solutions are utilized in 37 countries, covering 5 continents. Andy’s consultative approach has ADT customers boasting consistent, significant, measurable and sustainable reductions in collisions whilst ensuring full legal and duty of care compliance.
These achievements have been recognized through various awards for both ADT and their customers by organizations such as Brake, Fleet News and a Visa Business Innovation award. Andy is the driving force behind ADT’s global growth, developing industry-leading systems and services by working with strategic partners to offer fully managed, all-encompassing and proven solutions.
DR. JIM GOLBY, PhD FCIPD
DIRECTOR, RESEARCH AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
Jim is the Director of Research and Customer Experience who works with potential and existing clients to establish robust and impacting policies, procedures and complementary services around Work Related Road Risk (WRRR).
Prior to joining Applied Driving Techniques, Jim was the UK’s Head of HR for a global organisation. He was responsible for ensuring the full compliance of the business’ Duty of Care and Health and Safety related obligations with regards to driving on company business. Jim’s received Brake’s Fleet Manager of the Year award for his implementation of best practice driver safety and compliance initiatives.
Jim’s hands-on experience in developing and deploying driver safety programs for his previous organisation gives a unique insight into the difficulties company’s face when managing WRRR and a further understanding on how ADT appropriately overcomes these challenges.
Jim sits on the expert panel for the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) as well as the Steering Group for the new Brake Global Fleet Champions project. Jim also led the “Drive Safe” research study and remains active in the industry through publications such as his piece in the Director of Finance on legal obligations to WRRR.
Extending his knowledge in other industries, Jim is Chair for the Pharma Times Sales Awards and Chair of EMIG’s HR Special Interest Group. Jim gained his PhD from the University of Aston Birmingham and was awards CIPD Fellowship in 2007.
Iain has a 25-year track record in helping individuals and organizations achieve their objectives. With a solid background in Learning & Development, he has worked extensively on competence management, project delivery and individual/team development. He has held senior roles in London Underground, The London Mayor’s Office and City & Guilds.
Large development projects have seen him:
- Develop and run Assessment Centers, Development Centers and Talent Management programs in an unionized, operational environment
- Develop and implement a program to assess and prove the competence of over 15,000 staff in a safety critical environment
- Drive a program of technical and behavioral assessment in Australia
- Run a high volume recruitment organization, delivering 1000 new starters and 800 promotional trainees per year
- Set up and run a number of Learning and Development functions in the public, private and education sectors
- He has worked with both large and small organizations as a manager, leader, consultant, coach or interim director, and has been an accredited trainer of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Mark has a 35-year track record in managing and supporting companies in the development of Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental management systems. Mark has worked for multi-disciplinary organizations in the rail and construction industries, in both HSQE and contracts management. As a result, Mark has a deep understanding of the commercial, program, and deliverables and assurance demands of projects.
Key elements of Mark’s experience include:
- Having responsibility for the HSQE functions of a contracting group, culminating in an Executive Group Board position
- Responsible for developing, implementing and managing safety critical activities including drug and alcohol screening, training & competence management program, establishing bespoke operational and training facilities and corporate HSQE based systems and procedures
- Working in range of companies from a small family run firm to regional, national and multinational organizations
- Working with regulatory bodies including the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Office of Road and Rail Regulation (ORR)
- Corporate representative helping to shape the confidential reporting system in the rail industry (CIRAS)
- Assisting companies in gaining accreditation to a wide range of management standards including safety, quality and environment from inception to final registration
HEAD OF CLIENT PARTNERSHIPS (GLOBAL)
Louise has over 20 years’ experience implementing system and process changes, working across a wide range of industries including insurance, oil and gas and the Ministry of Defence. She has overseen the significant growth within the ADT customer support team, holding responsibility for staff training to ensure customer service levels continue to exceed expectations.
Louise has recently implemented system and process changes required to launch two FTSE 100 customers.
Dawn supports all activities across the organization, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs); long-term business planning and organization; managing the mission of ADT and our goals; project management; and internal audits. Dawn has extensive experience in organizational transformation and dealing with issues businesses face in delivering faster solutions in performance management.
Prior to joining ADT, Dawn gained extensive experience within a large global corporation for 30 years. This included roles in audit; consultancy; project management; supplier service; business controls; and fleet management.
Dawn has a passion for excellent customer service as well as ensuring the team strive to deliver a world-leading ADT Risk Management service.
HEAD OF CLIENT PARTNERSHIPS (UK)
Nigel has 20 years’ experience in the fleet world, with four of those working in the driver and fleet safety industry. He is responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of service to our customers along with providing consistently high standards of customer care and relationship management.
Nigel’s ability to provide a personalized and bespoke approach to our customers has enabled ADT to deliver strong improvements to compliance levels for our customers, with a strong emphasis on positive user experience.
He is committed to maintaining ADT’s exceptional level of customer retention with continued high levels of consistent customer care and a desire to deliver future proofing solutions.
UK OPERATIONS MANAGER
Striving to deliver the highest level of service whilst meeting our customers bespoke needs, Lucy oversees all operational functions within ADT.
Prior to joining the team Lucy spent 14 years working within a worldwide leasing company gaining a comprehensive variety of skills and experience in many areas including Finance, Fleet Management, Accident Services, Rental Management and Administration.
Lucy is focused on continuous improvement, process review and identifying the most efficient solutions to meet our customers’ business requirements. Leading a number of teams within ADT such as Compliance, Fleet Management and Training, Lucy’s priority is to deliver a seamless and positive experience to our customers.
HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
David has worked in the fleet industry since 1980 and is a Board Member of the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM). The ICFM is the UK’s only independent nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the profession of car fleet management.
The majority of David’s career has been in account management where he has gained invaluable experience and an in-depth understanding of what customers truly want and need. David moved into business development after several large blue-chip and public-sector wins with three major fleet management providers. David’s consultative approach and determination to understand individual business needs ensures that only appropriate solutions are implemented.
David is now responsible for formally managing ADT’s new business pipeline and developing opportunities from our existing client base. David’s focus will ensure that service delivery remains uncompromising.
JIM BOWLES, AICFM, ACII Chartered Insurance Practitioner
HEAD OF BUSINESS SUPPORT SERVICES
Jim brings with him a vast knowledge gleaned over 40 years within the commercial insurance industry.
Known for his lateral thinking and solution provision Jim has held various positions including: –
- Area Underwriting Manager
- Project Manager
- Key Account Manager
Throughout these roles he has a proven track record of successfully developing all areas within his scope and obtaining buy-in for innovating solutions.
As a qualified Observer and Advanced Driver, Jim has been at the forefront of profitable risk managed fleet selection and rating for over 20 years.
Jim firmly believes that the performance and awareness of a driver has a direct correlation to the performance of a fleet. This was proven throughout his insurance career and continues to be a firm belief of Jim’s to this day.
Jim has been involved with the expansion of accounts in various sectors: –
- National Brokers
- Independent Insurance Intermediaries
- Underwriting Agencies
Acknowledged by both his colleagues and Brokers alike as a Dealmaker and a Sales/Technical reference point Jim brings an additional dimension to the ADT Team.
HEAD OF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Nev has 20 years’ experience in fleet training within the oil, energy, pharmaceutical and corporate industries. He has also worked within the Mercedes group as a performance driving coach, together with 4X4 training for various off-road car manufactures.
Nev’s work has taken him as far as Kenya, working within the oil exploration industry alongside more home-related training such as trailer and UK familiarization. The continual, personal development that Nev has maintained throughout his career has seen him achieve RoSPA Gold, Lantra 4X4 instructor status and many other instructor-based qualifications.
Nev now maintains a dual role of both developing and supporting a growing team of professional ADT driver trainers, together with working alongside many of ADT’s customers as a hands-on trainer to ensure that he maintains a good connection with the trade.
HEAD OF COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING
Charlie is the Head of Communications and Marketing whose passion for the written word creates excitement from the essential. She works alongside the leadership team to deliver communications in line with the Applied Family ethos which effectively engages existing and potential audiences.
During her time at Applied Driving Techniques, Charlie has worked to elevate the company’s brand. This has been achieved by revolutionising ADT’s website, increasing social media presence and establishing meaningful, captivating resources that focus on delivering clarity.
With a hunger for knowledge, Charlie is currently expanding her skill set through mentoring programmes and outside learning. This encompasses content marketing, web design and social media marketing.
Prior to starting her communications career, Charlie worked in a multitude of industries ranging from hospitality to sales. Her diverse experience makes the customer experience a key area of interest.
Charlie’s love of writing extends beyond her work. You will often find her scribbling notes of poetry, short stories and maintaining her blog in her spare time.
